It was almost 2 years since, as an even fresher faced 16 year-old, Agnetha had met with the previous head of the sixth form. Miss Francis had been an elderly, but convivial teacher who liked to welcome each of her new students personally over a cup of tea. No one knew what had happened to old Miss Francis, one day she just failed to turn up for classes and two weeks later it was announced that Diane Nathair would be taking over her positions in the English Lit department and as head of the sixth form.

With her obviously European accent, Miss Nathair was seen as exotic by most of the girls, and quite a few, including Agnetha, developed a crush very quickly.
